This was taken 2yrs ago- I do miss seeing these
types of trees. I forgot its name, so if any of you
happen to know it, please tell me. I like that you
can peel its paper like bark right off its trunk & branches.

That would be a silver birch! My favourite type of tree! I have several round my house, one of which is marvellous to climb though no matter how many times I do it it remains scary and challenging. I love the thrill of standing up there with the ground seemingly miles below and the effect is heightened by the fact it grows on a hillside. Thank you for this wonderful evocative photo, and I am sorry to hear you no longer live near these trees.
