The AfterGlow by GrotesqueDarling13 The AfterGlow by GrotesqueDarling13
FULL VIEW PLEASE!
It's a must!

Photo: Me.
Minor Post. Pros: Me.
Taken: Sept. 8th 2012.

A single water droplet sitting on a feather
that is sitting on a open pocket watch :D
Colors & bokeh are all natural, not added in.

My water droplet shots aren't just
about the drop, I care about the whole
photo, every inch matters to me. Colors,
bokeh, different arrangements, ideas, etc.
I try to create a scene each time, it's calming
but a happy challenge that I enjoy to explore.

I really hope you all dig this!!

How could you work with your kit lens, no offence but i know that its not about the lens but the photographer but the kits lens has a rally bad focusing distance

No, it doesn't. My SONY Kit lens
is amazing I guess. I also have auto
and manual focus options. No offense
taken, since I do with my kit lens
what most people cannot do with
their "better" macro lens.
It's about practice and an
artists technique also

Hey, I recently have been interested in the works of macro, and was wondering if you could help me learn how to take good pictures, and what objects, and other things to use. Also what camera you use, would be wonderful. I really have been trying hard to convince my parents to get me a macro and showing them some of your work has them convinced, any tips would be so useful.
Thank you, and your work is amazing.

Hello :D It's not really something you can teach.
I taught myself how to do it, after being interested
in it for awhile. It took me almost a year to get to
this point  It's all about trial and error,
experimenting with different things and such.
Under the stats, it states what camera I use.
But I use a SONY a390, with a 18-55mm lens.
I use my kit lens, I don't own a macro lens yet.
I work with what I have, so when I do get the
Macro lens, I can go above and beyond with it
just as I do with my the lens I own now :D
My most useful tips are to go to the craft
store, they have everything you would need
and to use your imagination.

Thank you very much!! I'm happy you think so!

:bulletblack: A nice "silver and gold" for a possible interior design color series.
:bulletblack: The top half background looks like diffraction rings -- very nice effect!
:bulletblack: The feather almost looks like it has lots of tiny droplets on it...(?)

:D Thank you so very much!!
Nope, there's only one droplet
and the rest of the feather is
coated with silver glitter,
which has turned into bokeh
with it being out of focus :thanks:
